Our history
Since 1972 the watch manufacturer Berney has been constantly renewing their passion for watchmaking. Located in the heart of the Vallée de Joux, canton Vaud in Switzerland.
We often hear about the large brand names in the watch making industry of the Vallée de Joux, but there are also some independent artisans who have managed to stand out. Berney is one such company.
As an independent family business, Berney is a perfect blending of generations who know how to perpetuate the knowledge and watchmaking tradition.
Henri Berney
It all began in 1972 with Henri Berney, who founded his own company “Berney Blondeau S.A.”. His objective: to produce exceptional wristwatches, pendants and ring watches made with exclusively Swiss components. The Berney trademark was born!
In 1980, Henri’s two daughters, Eveline and Silvie, joined the family business.
After working with their father for more than twenty years, they both decided to focus their respective careers in other directions.

Succession
In 2004, Henri Berney’s granddaughter, Carol, joined him in the management of the company.
Today, it is her who enthusiastically manages the company “CH Berney & Co SA” still under the critical and accomplished eye of her grandfather.
And so, through the passion and love of watchmaking, three generations of passionate entrepreneurs continue to keep the Berney brand on the road to success.
